I love the EDT, not a fan of the EDP, but the parfum takes Bleu to a whole new level. I get a smooth, woody smell with Bleu's DNA all over it. I also pick up on the citrus and floral.
I got into the game about 6 months ago and quickly acquired the over 50 fragrances I consider amazing and Bleu de Chanel didn't make the cut. There is no other line that I have tested as extensively as Bleu de Chanel because I wanted something in that genre, but still remained unimpressed. I've never smelled ambroxan in isolation, so I don't really know, but from what I can gather, Bleu de Chanel does have synthetics of a similar style. BDC lacks any sort of vision, statement, poise, prowess, ANYTHING that would make me want to pick it up and say "Oh yes, THIS is the perfect moment to wear Bleu De Chanel EDP." It's a boring fragrance for people who can't be bothered by attempting to be unique. Though I respect the Bleu line, neither rendition (EDT or EDP) ever did anything for me. It could be a skin chemistry issue or it could just be that I was never taken by either composition. Either way, I consider both the EDT and EDP to be a nice office fragrances, but would grab others for a night out on the town.
